RPMC Lasers, has partnered with Integrated Optics, for several years now, to provide our customers with high-quality compact diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) and diode laser modules. In order to meet growing production demands, Integrated Optics recently made a 400,000 Euro (~450,000 USD) investment to update and expand their Industry 4.0-ready manufacturing capabilities. Integrated Optics, founded in 2012 by Jonas Jonuška and Evaldas Pabrėža, is currently collaborating with the European Union to help fund this expansion and increase their current capacity.
Since 2012 Integrated Optics has been developing their own proprietary optics assembly methodologies, based on cutting edge robotics and software technology. These assembly techniques have enabled them to build their own custom laser assembly workstations, ensuring complete process control while permitting them to adapt to customer needs quickly. Furthermore, in 2017, the company was awarded as an ISO9001:2015 certified manufacturer and nominated as a Prism Awards finalist in the same year. Evaldas Pabrėža, CEO of Integrated Optics, adds that, “Proprietary robotic systems for precision assembly of micro-optics have been developed internally over the last five years. Now it is time to scale non-core manufacturing processes through the use of state-of-art industrial digital machinery. This investment will heavily contribute to expanding the company’s operations from low-volume/high-mix production into the production capacity of large series.”
Integrated Optics is best known for their Matchbox family of laser modules which were designed originally as a compact laser source for spectroscopy, lidar, and other portable applications. The compact, air-cooled MatchBox series is one of the smallest stabilized laser sources on the market today with dimensions of only 50 mm x 30 mm x 18 mm. These modules are available at wavelengths ranging from 405 nm to 1064nm with power outputs as high as 500 mW, in either multimode or single longitudinal mode configurations with free space or fiber-coupled beam delivery options.
