Lasers that designate 9mW (0.009W) of average output power can have either CW (continuous wave) or pulsed output. CW Lasers are always defined in average output power. Pulsed Lasers with an output power defined in Watts or Milliwatts usually define the laser’s average power, not the peak power of the laser.
RPMC provides a couple of SWIR (short-wave infrared) laser diode options emitting 9mW of average output power, with options for fiber-coupled or free-space output, and package options like TO-Can, fiber-coupled butterfly, 8-pin HHL, and more.
